Men's G-String Underwear

The g-string is a piece of men's underwear which has a strip of fabric, called a string, going from the bottom of the pouch at the front between the legs and buttock cheeks to join onto the waistband at the back.

Men's G-Strings Styles

There are a few types of g-strings for men, all referring to the back of the underwear:

T-Back - T-Back is probably the most common style, the string joins directly to the waistband forming a "T" shapes. On most t-back g-strings the waistband is normally the same width as the string, making the underwear very minimal.
Y-Back - The string on a Y-Back men's g-string is split, or has extra strips of fabric, creating a "Y" shape with the two straps joining the waistband - like the outline of a thong.
